2025 has been very unusual for the silver and gold markets.
From January 2025 to January 2026, silver prices increased by approximately 150–160%, outpacing gold’s percentage.

This significant increase shows how valuable silver has become. We do not believe silver will return to its old prices, because today it is used for much more than jewelry or investment.

Solar panels. As more countries invest in clean energy, demand for silver continues to grow.
This is a challenging time for many silversmiths and jewelry brands.
Some businesses may not survive. We cannot control the silver market, but we focus on what we can control: our values, our authenticity, and the integrity of our work. That is how we move through challenges, not by avoiding them, but by facing them with clarity and intention.
Some brands may respond by using lower-quality silver or plated metals. That is something we don’t want to explore. At DON925, we guarantee 925 sterling silver or higher.

After carefully evaluating all options to keep fair prices and continue our work, we have made a tough decision: our shop will be temporarily closed.
